The furniture of French designer André Arbus is remembered for reintroducing neo-classicism to early and middle twentieth century design.  The extendable mahogany dining table from 1945, shown here, is in the manner of Arbus.  The graceful legs, concave table ends, warm wood finish and decorative embellishments of brass and inlaid patterns speaks volumes of the neo-classical style.
